Experience the joys of being cremated with an amusement park death simulator in China
For roughly $40 and a trip to Shenzhen, you can now experience what it feels like to be burned alive. The death simulator is a new ride at the Window of the World amusement park, and puts passengers in a coffin before shuttling them through an "incinerator" that blasts them with 100-degree air, probably generating absolute claustrophobic terror in anyone who decides to ride.
Once passed through, riders are forced to crawl through a womb in order to be "reborn" into the world. The simulator's designers hope the experience will help people cope with the idea of death, or at least forge a new appreciation for life.
Here's to hoping the "crematorium" never gets stuck.
