Drunk teen sets up fake DUI checkpoint, impersonates cop, dupes at least one motorist
A nineteen year old man in Somerset, PA has been arrested for setting up a DUI checkpoint while drunk.
Logan Shaulis put up road flares and a diagonally-parked vehicle on Route 601, and demanded license and registration from passing motorists.
When State troopers arrived around 4AM Saturday morning, they claimed Shaulis passed his gun to the passenger of his car and said "I can't get caught with this."
His charges include impersonation of a public servant, drunken driving, and unlawful restraint. The first hearing is scheduled for June 9th.
