Sixth black church catches fire since June 17 Charleston church shooting
Last night, the sixth predominantly African-American church burnt down since the June 17 shooting at the Emanuel A.M.E. Church in Charleston, South Carolina. Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire at this Greeleyville, South Carolina church. In 1995 the original building that housed the church was burned by two Ku Klux Klan members.
Last week, five black churches caught fire, and investigators have found that at least two of them were arson. So far, officials say that none of the fires show evidence of being hate crimes.
