Following the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced Wednesday that all police vans will have recording cameras installed inside.

Gray's autopsy revealed that he died from of a "high-impact injury" sustained while in police custody.

The van in which Gray suffered the fatal injury had a non-recording camera installed for officers to monitor passengers in the back seat, however at the time the camera was unresponsive.

The six officers responsible for Gray's arrest and death have been charged and are scheduled to appear in court in October.

Rawlings told reporters, "We're working through a process that will place cameras with recording capabilities in the backs of all our police vans, to ensure that we have a more complete record of what occurs there."
