Put down your hackey sacks, Ultimate just got recognized by the International Olympic Committee
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) just granted full recognition to disc flying sports during the 128th IOC Session held in Kuala Lumper, Malaysia. The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) oversees several disc-based sports such as Ultimate Frisbee, Disc Golf and Freestyle.

Members of the committee also decided to have Beijing, China as the host of the 2022 Winter Olympics, and Lausanne, Switzerland as the host of the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics.

Facts about: Ultimate Frisbee
Ultimate was created by students Joel Silver and Jared Kass in 1967 at Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey.
We probably shouldn’t call “Ultimate Frisbee”, “Ultimate Frisbee.” The word “Frisbee” is trademarked by Wham-O Toys Incorporated. The sport is actually known as Ultimate.
