A pair of skinny jeans rendered a 35-year-old woman immobile for hours, forcing her to lay on the ground trapped in denim until she was rescued by being cut out of her pants.

It took four days for her to regain the ability to walk normally.

Following the incident, doctors warn that skinny jeans can help cause compartment syndrome, which involves bleeding or swelling within an enclosed bundle of muscles.

Writing in The Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, medical professionals are officially warning you that skinny jeans can cause muscle and nerve damage.
