Designer Alexander McQueen may become the face of the new £20 note. The Bank of England will replace Adam Smith, 18th century Scottish philosopher and economist, with a British visual artist and they are asking the public to vote for their favorite. Ultimately Mark Carney, the bank's governor, will make the final decision. Other artists in the running include painter William Hogarth, actor and director Richard Attenborough, and figurative painter Francis Bacon. Here is what the bill currently looks like:
