Illuminate your dark apartment with this solar mirror
Natural light feels the best, and it's free. Lucy is a solar mirror that redirects sunlight to the dark corners of your home.
The rotating mirror, in development by Italian designers Solencia, is also smart - it tracks ambient light and rotates on its own to send the most light possible toward your dark corner. All you need to do is set Lucy by a window and point its "nose" at a wall of your choosing. Lucy will tilt and rotate throughout the day to keep that wall illuminated. And of course, it's solar powered.
Facts about lucy:
Solencia claims Lucy can redirect up to 7,000 lumens.
A 250-square-foot room needs about 5,000 lumens to feel well-lit. That equals about three 100-watt bulbs.
Lucy models are available for pre-order for $200.
