Legendary artist Prince’s fans know it’s always a good idea to expect the unexpected, so it’s not all that shocking to hear that he’s dropped a Spotify exclusive track called “Stare” – just days after pulling his music from streaming services altogether. The tune, which will show up on the Hit N Run album that he and his all-female 3rd Eye Girl trio  recorded earlier this year sounds like “Erotic City” brought strutting and preening into the 21st century.

For now, this is the only Prince song available on any of the major streaming services, although the artist has made his catalog available on Tidal.

Facts about prince:

Hit N Run, which will be Prince’s 38th studio album, will reportedly  feature a version of “1,000 Hugs and Kisses”  - a previously unreleased track which dates back to the Diamonds and Pearls era.

The Minneapolis house that provided the setting for Prince’s classic Purple Rain album just hit the market at an asking price of $110,000.
