The UK is developing the first spaceport to be located in Europe and officials released a new report today that narrows the potential locations; one in England, one in Wales, and two in Scotland.

Specifically, these six places are being considered: Campbeltown Airport, Glasgow Prestwick Airport, Llanbedr Airfield, Newquay Cornwall Airport, RAF Leuchars, Stornoway Airport.

Business Secretary Vince Cable stated that the spaceports would be used for launching satellites as well as sub-orbital commercial space flights. If all goes to plan and the flight technology keeps developing on pace, you'll be able to book your space journey in 2018.
