UK-based study successfully cures insomnia in 73% of cases
73% of acute insomniacs who participated in a one-hour therapy session were cured during a new study from Northumbria University. Subjects had a one-to-one cognitive behavioral therapy session for 60 minutes and were given a self-pamphlet to read at home. Three months later, almost three quarters of the group reported improvements in their sleep quality. Roughly one third of the adults report having symptoms of insomnia.
