Chinese tech company Lenovo has launched a series of new products at the Tech World event in Beijing, including concept ideas such as Smart Shoes, which have not yet hit the market.

The shoes are designed to measure calorie consumption and heartbeat, and feature a screen which visually interprets the user's mood.

Although the technology behind this is still not fully transparent, the company has stated that they use a software developer kit platform and a backend cloud infrastructure as the fundamentals for their larger Internet of Things cloud strategy.

Other products due for testing release include the Smart Cast phone which projects a large interactive touchscreen, the dual-display augmented smart watch Magic View, and a business-focused storage system

The company's ideals focus on "more natural ways to connect people with devices," and "giving customers the power of big data and their own personal cloud."
