Lego-compatible prosthetic limb makes kids with missing limbs build their own attachments
Calos Arturo Torres Tovar of Umeå University in Sweden has designed a Lego-compatible prosthetic arm that allows children with missing limbs to build their own custom grip attachments. If that doesn't make a kid feel like a superhero, we don't know what would.
Tovar hopes that turning a prosthetic into a toy will empower children to not only improve their everyday life, but to also give them confidence when interacting with other children who may feel uncomfortable.
