The world’s largest kosher certifying agency, the Orthodox Union,  is in “preliminary talks” with several unnamed manufacturers in Colorado to put its kosher seal on medical marijuana products. While the company refused to put its stamp on cigarettes because of their lack of medical benefit, the Orthodox Union’s Rabbi Elefant believes “there’s room” for medical marijuana products, within and outside of New York state. 

This news comes on the heels of Alaska legalizing pot, making the Last Frontier the third state (and first red state) to allow its inhabitants to toke, grow, and possess freely, or at least in the privacy of their own homes.
