A ruling at the court of appeals related to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977 has temporarily made a number of previously illegal substances legal to possess in Ireland.

According to The Journal, the ruling found that "the 1977 Act was being added to via ministerial order without recourse to the Oireachtas, in violation of article 15 of the Constitution."

That means that being in possession of drugs including ecstasy, ketamine, magic mushrooms, and benzos is legal. However, it is still illegal sell, supply, export or import these substances.

Reportedly, emergency legislation will be voted on between 8pm and 11pm tonight but won't be allowed to take effect until tomorrow (Thursday), assuming it passes.

Until then, rave on Ireland.
