Weed kills (cancer cells)
A new report conducted by the National Institute on Drug Abuse claims that weed can kill specific cancer cells.
“Recent animal studies have shown that marijuana can kill certain cancer cells and reduce the size of others,” the NIDA report said. “Evidence from one animal study suggests that extracts from whole-plant marijuana can shrink one of the most serious types of brain tumors. Research in mice showed that these extracts, when used with radiation, increased the cancer-killing effects of the radiation.”
Always the Debby Downer, the Justice Department released a statement Wednesday saying it would still seek out and prosecute weed users in States where the drug has not been legalized for medical or recreational use. Still, there’s hope in dope.
