Six high ranking FIFA officials were arrested in Zurich this morning for racketeering and corruption charges. The US Department of Justice accused the officials of receiving more than $150 million in bribes and kickbacks over the past 24 years, a "scheme to enrich themselves through the corruption of international soccer." Four of the six accused have already plead guilty, including former top-ranking FIFA executive Chuck Blazer. The FIFA officials face 14 charges including racketeering, wire fraud, and money-laundering conspiracies, and face up to twenty years in prison.
