The account has already racked up 38K followers, way more than any other 2016 candidate with a verified account including the likes of senators Bernie Sanders, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Governor Mike Huckabee, and retired nuerosurgeon Ben Carson.

Clinton's (social media team's) choice to join the social media site is particularly savvy as "53% of young adults ages 18-29 now use the service,” according to the Pew Research Center's 2015 study in January. The study also cites that “women are particularly likely to be on Instagram, along with Hispanics and African-Americans, and those who live in urban or suburban environments.” Way to keep up with the kids, Hil-dawg!
