South Carolina Senate finally agrees to remove Confederate flag
The South Carolina senate finally agreed to remove the Confederate flag from the statehouse. But before you sigh in relief - it won't actually be removed until the bill passes the house and is signed by Gov. Nicki Haley - who advocated for removing the flag after the Charleston shooting. The final vote is supposed to happen on Tuesday.
Last week a badass activist climbed up the flagpole to remove it herself. She was immediately arrested and put in jail and the flag was replaced.
