Arnold Schwarzenegger was recently invited by the French government to speak at the world's first summit of conscience for the climate on Tuesday, alongside Nobel prize winners, and UN secretary generals, among others.

Schwarzenegger believes that the scientific debate is over and that critical action must be enacted immediately in order to prevent catastrophic consequences.


I’ve starred in a lot of science fiction movies and, let me tell you something, climate change is not science fiction", this is a battle in the real world, it is impacting us right now.

I believe the science is in. The debate is over and the time for action is now. This is bigger than any movie, this is the challenge of our time. And it is our responsibility to leave this world a better place than we found it, but right now we are failing future generations.

The call for action has encouraged voices from all religious and political backgrounds including Hindu leaders, economists, Daoists, secular thinkers, and the Pope, to voice their support.



The production of staple foods is projected to decrease by 50% for many poorer nations by 2020 due to variable precipitation and rising temperatures.

Nearly two-thirds of the United States is currently experiencing severe drought.

Every year, more than 600,000 deaths occur due to climate change-related causes, and 95% of them happen in developing nations.
