The Pogues are launching a brand of Irish Whiskey because of course they are
Irish punk The Pogues have teamed up with West Cork Distillers to launch a new brand of Irish Whiskey. The spirit claims to be “Ireland’s highest malt-containing blended Irish whiskey, with 50% grain and 50% single malt liquid” and is described as having a “malty and floral” flavor with notes of chocolate and citrus.
West Cork Distiller’s co-founder, John O’Connel, believes the pairing offers a perfect partnership between the two as The Pogues “share many of the same values as our company such as an independent spirit, a slightly unorthodox approach, and a commitment to quality, as well as success on the international stage."
The Pogues Irish Whiskey will be available to purchase across the UK at a recommended retail price (RRP) of 30 pounds.
