People are still naming their babies after characters from Game of Thrones despite everyone else's eye rolls. The Office for National Statistics' (ONS) list of most popular baby names in England and Wales for 2014, published this morning, shows that way too many babies were named after pop culture characters in the UK last year.

other popular 2014 baby names inspired by pop culture:

Male characters from Game of Thrones had popular names as well; 18 babies were named Theon, 17 were named Tyrion, 4 were named Bran, and 4 were named Sandor (which wasn't a name until 2012) in the UK alone.

2,813 baby boys were named Logan (aka Wolverine from X-Men) in the UK.

The name Elsa spiked as soon as Disney's Frozen hit theaters. Before December 2013 (when it came out) less than 300 newborns in the UK were named Elsa. 537 babies were named Elsa in 2014.
